Andre Rami Morgan 'Dede' Ayew could win BBC African Player of the year

ENGLAND

In the Premier League, Asamoah Gyan scored in the 52nd minute and was replaced in the 83rd minute by Steed Malbranque as Sunderland thrashed Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. Danny Welbeck scored in the 87th minute and was replaced three minutes later by Ahmad Al Muhammadi for Sunderland. John Mensah was absent for Sunderland due to injury. Michael Essien also missed the match for Chelsea through suspension.

Richard Kingston replaced Matthew Gilks at half time as Blackpool drew 0-0 with West Ham United at Upton Park. John Paintsil was an unused substitute as Fulham drew 0-0 with Newcastle United at St James Park. In the Championship, Lloyd Sam replaced Max-Alain Gradel in the 60th minute as Leeds United beat Bristol City 3-1. Patrick Agyemang replaced Rob Hulse in the 67th minute as Queens Park Rangers drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest.

SCOTLAND

In the Scottish Premier League, Prince Buaben was booked in the 63rd minute and played the entire match as Dundee United drew 1-1 with Kilmarnock. Francis Dickoh was replaced in the 66th minute by Paul Hanlon as Hibernian beat Motherwell 2-1.

SPAIN

In La Liga, Quincy Owusu Abeyie replaced Nabil Baha at half-time as Malaga beat Levante 1-0. Jeffrey Sarpong replaced Mikel Aranburu in the 66th minute as Real Sociedad lost 2-1 to Hercules. Derek Boateng missed Getafe’s 2-0 loss to Valencia through suspension. In the Segunda, Jonathan Mensah played the entire match as Granada thrashed Barcelona B 4-1. Ransford Osei was not part of Granada’s match day squad. Mubarak Wakaso was not part of the Elche squad that drew 0-0 with Gimnastic Tarragona.

ITALY

In the Serie A, Kevin Prince Boateng replaced Clarence Seedorf in the 73rd minute as AC Milan beat city rivals Inter Milan 1-0. Sulley Muntari missed the game for Inter through injury. Kwadwo Asamoah played the entire match as Udinese thrashed Lecce 4-0. Emmanuel Agyemang Badu replaced Antonio Di Natale in the 87th minute for Udinese. Afriyie Acquah was not part of the Palermo squad that beat Catania 3-1. Richmond Boakye Yiadom did not make the Genoa squad that won 1-0 at Cagliari. Stephen Appiah was an unused substitute as Cesena lost 1-0 to Fiorentina.

In Serie B, Dominic Adiyiah failed to make the Reggina squad that drew 1-1 with Torino. Isaac Cofie also failed to make Torino’s squad. Ahmed Barusso was booked in the 35th minute and replaced by Pasquale Schiatarella in the 60th minute as Livorno lost 2-1 to Crotone.

GERMANY

Isaac Vorsah played the full match as Hoffenheim lost 1-0 to Freiburg. Prince Tagoe was an unused substitute for Hoffenheim. Isaac Boakye was not part of the Nuremberg team that was thrashed 3-0 by Bayern Munich. Hans Adu Sarpei was an unused substitute as Schalke 04 drew 2-2 with Wolfsburg. Charles Takyi was replaced by Rouwen Hennings in the 65th minute as St Pauli lost 1-0 to Bayer Leverkusen.

FRANCE

In the Championnat, Abeiku Quansah was not part of the Nice squad that lost 1-0 to Lyon. John Boye did not make the Rennes squad that lost 2-1 to Auxerre. Andre Ayew played the entire game as Marseille drew 1-1 with Lens. Andre’s younger brother Jordan replaced Mathieu Valbuena in the 74th minute for Marseille.

In Ligue 2, Rabiu Mohammed was not part of the Evian Thonon Gaillard squad that won 3-1 at Le Mans. Moussa Narry was an unused substitute for Le Mans.

NETHERLANDS

In the Dutch Eredivisie, Kwame Quansah played the entire game as Heracles thrashed Groningen 3-0. Laryea Kingston was not part of the Vitesse Arnhem squad that thrashed VVV Venlo 5-1.  Matthew Amoah scored in the 90th minute and played the entire match as NAC Breda defeated Twente Enschede 2-1.

In the Eerste Divisie, striker Fred Benson played the full match as RKC Waalwijk won 2-1 at Helmond. Midfielder Gideon Boateng scored in the 40th minute and played the entire match as MVV Maastricht beat Almere City 2-1. On loan AZ Alkmaar left winger Edwin Gyasi played the full match as SC Stormvogels Telstar lost 2-1 to AGOVV Apeldoorn.  Defender Mitch Apau was booked in the 45th minute and played the full match as BV Veendam beat RBC Roosendaal 2-1.

ISRAEL

In the Ligat Al, Stephen Ahorlu was in goal for the entire match as Hapoel Ashkelon lost 1-0 at home to Maccabi Petach Tikva. Former King Faisal striker Osman Bashiru replaced Hanan Fadida in the 46th minute for Hapoel Ashkelon. Eric Gawu was replaced by Mahmoud Abass in the 56th minute for Hapoel Ashkelon. Abraham Basit replaced Bernardo in the 79th minute as Hapoel Be’er Sheva drew 1-1 with Hapoel Haifa. Ibrahim Abdul Razak was replaced by Oshri Gita in the 83rd minute as Hapoel Acre beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 3-1. Samad Okocha was an unused substitute for Hapoel Acre.

BELGIUM

In the Pro League, Daniel Opare played the entire match as Standard Liege beat Germinal Beerschot 1-0. William Acheampong Owusu played the full match as Cercle Brugge lost 3-0 to Genk. Holding midfielder Vadis Odjidja Ofoe played the full game as Club Brugge beat Lierse 2-0.

DENMARK

In the SAS Ligaen, Issah Ahmed played the full match as Randers thrashed Silkeborg 4-0. Enoch Adu Kofi replaced Matti Nielsen in the 70th minute as Nordsjaelland beat Lyngby 2-1.

GREECE

In the Super League, Bernard Yao Kumordji played the entire match as Panionios lost 1-0 at home to Atromitos.

PORTUGAL

In the Liga, David Addy missed Academica Coimbra’s 2-1 loss at home to Sporting Lisbon. In the Liga de Honra, Ishmael Yartey’s CD Fatima were thrashed 3-0 by FC Arouca.

RUSSIA

In the Premier League, Haminu Draman was an unused substitute as Locomotiv Moscow drew 1-1 with Sibir Novosibirsk.

SWEDEN

In the Survival playoff of the Swedish top flight, Yusif Chibsah played the full game as Gefle won the second leg 2-0 to avoid relegation, after beating promotion hopefuls GIF Sundsvall. James Frempong was replaced by Hjalmar Ohagen in the 63rd minute for Gefle.

SWITZERLAND

In the Super League, Samuel Inkoom was booked in the 5th minute and replaced by Reto Zanni in the 39th minute as Basel lost 3-1 at home to Thun. Mark Edusei played the full 90 minutes as Bellinzona drew 3-3 with Neuchatel Xamax.
