Glo (Ghana) Premier League: Week 11 Statistics

Professor of Sports and Fitness, Joseph Mintah, who has taken over as head coach of Cape Coast based Dwarfs started his tenure in a whirlwind fashion as his side beat league leaders Berekum Chelsea 3-1 at home on Match Day 11. Orlando Wellington, also a new coach of Berekum Chelsea who started well by beating league leaders Kessben last week had to take coaching lessons from the professor.

New coach for Kotoko, Bogdan Korak did not have a good time. The Serbian tactician could not stop the free fall of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, as his side could not handle the free-scoring New Edubiase side even on their home soil. So angry was the Serbian that after the game, he ordered his players to run around the pitch for over an hour. This 1-2 loss to New Edubiase FC means that Kotoko has lost 4 games on a row, 3 of which were their home grounds – the once feared Baba Yara Stadium.

Another new coach, Jonas Amissah of Mighty Jets proved his worth with a solid 1-0 win against giant Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium, of all places.

On the goal king front, Abdul Wahab (King Faisal), Nana Poku (Arsenal), Bismark Asiedu (Dwarfs), Fuseini Nuhu (New Edubiase) are all hot on Stephen Manu (New Edubiase) trail with 5 goals each, one short of Manu’s goal collection.
