On Target: Ghanaian Marksmen of The Week August 9 – 13, 2012

Up to eight Ghanaian forwards were on target for their clubs last week [9th -13th August, 2012].  Abraham Kudemor, Sadat Bukari, Kwame Karikari, Kwadwo Asamoah, Kwadwo Asamoah, Derek Asamoah, Samuel Affum and Boadu Acosty were all on target for their respective clubs. ANDRE AYEW opened the scoring with an impressive brace against Eskisehirspor on 9th August 2012

A tap-in in the 7th minute plus a characteristic header in the 67th minute from ANDRE AYEW were enough to bury Eskisehirspor who came visiting for an Europa League game.

In Sweden, KWAME KARIKARI opened scoring for AIK in the 42nd minute as they beat Orebro by 3-0

AIK’s 20year old Kwame Karikari looked dangerous all 90 minutes against Orebo on 12th August 2012. But in the 42 minute he out-maneuvered an offside trap to slot a beautiful one home.

In the Copa Italia, Juve Stabia’s BUADU ACOSTY MAXWELL bent a beautiful shot into Frosinone’s goal from 25 yards with his left foot.

ABRAHAM KUDEMOR was on target for  Charleroi, scoring teh only goal away from home against Kortrijk in the Belgian league.

In Romania, SADAT BUKARI was on target for his team Astra Ploiesti. The Striker equalized for his club against CSS Drobeta.

SAMUEL AFFUM has been on scoring form throughout the pre-season period. On the 12th of August, 2012 he hit  a brace for his Egyptian club FC Smouha who lost 3-2 on penalties to Al Kuwait in the final of the Benyas Club Tournament in Dubai on Saturday.

Black Stars winger DEREK ASAMOAH scored the third goal for his club Pohang Steerler in the Korean K-League as they beat Chunnam Dragons by 3-4 away from home.
